Old entry keeps popping up

What is wrong with this entry showing? do you not want to see it? Can you tell me more? Share a screen shot?

In my widgets “on this day,” an entry for Jan 10, 2017 remains there.  Please advise

How many entries do you have? If you don't have many from previous years, then there aren't many to display...so the same one will show.

Then it is probably because I don’t have that many entries last year and it is one of the few with a photo.  I was thinking that it functioned like a reminder to journal, not a history.  Makes sense now.  Thanks!

Ah! Yes! It's "a year ago today"...to keep you writing for a long, long, loooong time!! That's where the real juice is...Thanks for your feedback though. I now have ideas on how to make this better!!
